I didn't get a sign-in code
Where it goes, how long it lasts, and what to do when it doesn't come.
There are no passwords. You sign in with a 6-digit code we email you, or with a passkey.
- Look in spam or junk, and search your inbox for "sign-in code".
- Check the address you typed. Codes only go to an address with an account or an invitation, and the screen looks the same either way, so a typo looks like a code that never came.
- A code works for 10 minutes and for 5 tries. After that, ask for a new one.
- If you asked more than once, use the newest code.
One address gets at most 6 codes an hour and 20 a day, whoever asks for them: that's what stops anyone guessing their way into your account. If you reach it, use the last code you got, sign in with a passkey, or try again in an hour.
